In environments with multiple agents of a particular type, one can edit the agent properties individually or for all of the agents of that type at the same time.

Here, I have 3 SPIDs connected to my Foglight Management Server.  I'd like to edit a particular agent property, but for all SPIDs.  It's now pretty simple with Foglight.  First, select those three SPINetwork agents and press the Edit Properties button.

In the next window, I can either edit the properties for each Agent or I can edit the properties that apply to all agents of that type.  To edit the properties for a single agent, select an individual instance.  To edit the properties for all agents, select the Default for type SPINetwork row (the default).  This is shown as (1) in the screenshot below.  Next, check the box next to the property you wish to change and make the change.  This is shown as (2) in the screenshot below.  Finally, save the change(s) by pressing the Save button.  This is shown as (3) in the screenshot below.

That's it.  Nice and simple, but also very powerful if you have a large number of agent instances.

As ever, let me know if you have any questions or comments or if you have a topic you'd like me to cover in future entries.
