Q: Is TOAD required for Foglight for Oracle EBusiness Suite?
A: TOAD is used with the Foglight for Oracle EBusiness Suite for the following purposes:

Assistance with configuration of OEBDatabase agent properties
·
Deeper analysis & diagnosis for problem resolution
·
Quest Support to assist with troubleshooting
Although the Foglight OEB agent does not require the use of TOAD, i.e. can be configured and run without TOAD, it is highly recommended since the above functionality will be missing without it, including the ability to analyze workflows. The TOAD OEB report definitions will be found in a zip file in the Foglight OEB agent installation on the monitored OEB database server which would be then imported into the TOAD Report Manager. A TOAD license is not included with the Foglight OEB cartridge. TOAD is licensed by the client and must be version 9.1 or higher to generate these reports.
